Mall Of Scandinavia - The Designer Gallery.
Contracted as external Chief Editor (Creative Director) via company Lee Cotter Creative.
My role is to create bi-annual collections/themes that are applied to ensure that the areas are constantly evolving and always offering the customer a new experience.
I created a graphic carpet design based on old school yard string tricks. A play with strings with your fingers creating intricate patterns. I have enlarged the image x 1000 and placed it upon the 2500sqm area.
By using red and tones of grey the area and room creates a chambré separee feel and clearly differentiates from the rest of the mall.
The red metal arches are created together with architect Jani Christoffersen from GUISE Architects. The idea is built upon a table that echoes and creates a flowing arch through the open void of the designer gallery. Metal constructions that reminded us of the slinky toy - therefor the arches were named "the slinky table arches".
The structures are created as artful shapes that will catch the eye and guide the customer through the cross mall experience.
The tasks consists partly of straight design management for graphics, interior design and communication. And partly by creating a theme-base for the company to build it´s content upon.
A clear theme/story that should be told. I also guide the company to connections with tenants for creative pop-ups, suggestions of new interesting partnerships and collaborations within fashion, art and lifestyle. All created with sales, footfall and publicity in mind.
